CITIES Kumbh Mela special edition
This book tells the same event through 14 different gazes, each with its own sensitivity, its own style, its own experience. There are those who focused on spirituality, those on the humanity of the people met, those on the visual and symbolic impact of certain moments. Some told of beauty, others of fatigue, some of bewilderment. But they all told something true.
The Kumbh Mela is probably the most extreme example of this way of living and telling the journey: a powerful, often difficult experience that takes you out of your comfort zone and forces you to look at everything with different eyes. This book tells it sincerely, and I hope that those who leaf through it will be able to feel even just a part of what we felt. In the field, among the people, with the camera in hand... but only after having really lived the moment.
